Other 3DO mentions

  • Page 82-83 - Shigeru Miyamoto Interview - Two page interview with "Mr Mario", 3DO gets mentioned twice, first being how electronic companies ridiculed Nintendo when they released the SNES, and now they are getting into games. He stated that the 3DO was quite advanced, however there was confusion over what type of machine it would be used for, and a 3DO developers said games themselves is a great "entry" into the multimedia world, where as games is bread and butter for the likes of Nintendo and that their focus. He also brings up another 3DO point later in the interview around price, that consumers don't necessarily want the most advanced, but sometimes the cheapest.
