On the original 3DO Press Release Developer list, a "Aeon Entertainment" is listed, there is a Aeon Entertainment in existence at the time, based out of Japan, but this and still is a cinema chain (I cant find any games associated to them). So am presuming this is for Aeon Electronic Entertainment, which was based out the US and set up in 1993 and created the Silent Hunter Series. I have reached out to the old president for clairty.

Overview

I cant find too much information on Aeon, even though Silent Hunter was a big game at the time. According to the Presidents Linkedin, the company existed from 1993 until 2001. With this blurb "Led a team of over 15 programmers, artists, designers, and writers in creating the Silent Hunter series, a PC simulation of World War II submarine combat. Silent Hunter sold over 500,000 copies worldwide, generated revenues of over $8M, and won numerous honors in the computer games industry including “one of the 50 best computer games of all time” by PC Gamer magazine. Silent Hunter and its sequels have become the most commercially successful PC submarine simulations of all time."
