3DO Overview

Brilliance Corporation appeared on the original Developer list in 1993, but never released or produced a 3DO game. I am not 100% certain it is the same Brilliance Corp as they didnt move to CD's from Cassettes until 2000. However, they are the only one I could find

Overview

Brilliance Corp., is the largest independent audiobook publisher in the United States. The company, founded by its current President and Publisher R. Michael Snodgrass in 1984, began with a mission to provide a quality listening experience at an affordable price, and continues that philosophy today.

Brilliance Audio began its journey by being the first to provide unabridged audiobooks for sale in bookstores, under the trade name Bookcassette®. An innovator from the beginning, Brilliance patented a cassette multi-track recording technology that could produce unabridged audiobooks for roughly the cost of a hardcover book. The brainchild of Mr. Snodgrass, multi-track recording enabled a full audiobook recording on half as many cassettes.

In 1993, the Nova Audio Books® imprint became the first abridged titles recorded in standard play to be offered by the company. The first standard play unabridged imprint, Brilliance Audio Unabridged (BAU), made its debut in late 1998, and is now the premier line of unabridged audiobooks on cassettes. The company introduced its CD product lines in the fall of 2000, and continues research and development in the newest technologies of the day.

From the early days of splicing tape to the current digital age, Brilliance Audio has always been at the forefront of recording and engineering spoken-word audio. Its headquarters, based in Grand Haven, Michigan, boasts digital recording studios specially designed and built for spoken word production. Staff directors, engineers and abridgers, along with a very experienced and talented team of freelance voice talent, directors, and abridgers, ensure high-quality production.

Brilliance produces its own recordings, as well as productions for other spoken-word audiobook publishers. With its own full duplication and packaging facility, and in-house graphic arts and advertising department, Brilliance is able to offer a wide range of audiobook publishing services.

The company was purchased by Amazon in 2007
