Research Overview

On 18th Oct 2024, Argonaut posted on its X account a video with the caption "We discovered the only known copy of the Croc Game Design Document, containing details of design, coding, animation, levels & more. At over 120 pages, it offers a fascinating insight into the early days of development before Croc evolved into the game we know today.". The Video is a 32 second overview of a design document for the original game. On page 6, under the title "Targeted Systems - The Hardware" It states that the 3DO M2 will be taken in "consideration". Note the other machine that did was N64, which was never released.

The document was from 25th April 1996, before the M2 was cancelled. However, I doubt the game never got further than being considered.
