Evil Night Arcade - Claw Zombie
Overview
Claw Zombies are a type of zombie appearing in stages 2 and 3 in Evil Night .
Appearance
Much like other enemies, Claw Zombies come in at least two palette-swapped varieties, though otherwise behave the same.
In the Mansion, Claw Zombies appear with burnt skin, glowing orange eyes, bald heads and claw gloves. They wear ties and collar shirts similar to Henry Jones ', except with dark suspenders.
Claw Zombies are also encountered (albeit less frequently) in the Underpass. They appear to be part reptile and part human; while having claws, fangs, and scales, the zombies also wear pants.
Gameplay
Claw Zombies prove to be an annoyance with their fast movement, attacks, and tendancy to ambush the players from either below the screen or hanging upside down--the latter especially being worse when other enemies are approaching. They attack with a variety of claw swipes.
While dangerous at times, Claw Zombies are rather weak in terms of health. Moreover, one will have a better chance of avoiding damage should they memorize where Claw Zombies appear.
Trivia
- The Claw Zombie's first palette swap appears to reference Freddy Kruger from the Nightmare on Elm Street horror franchise, given the zombie's charred skin, bald head claw gloves. Some Evil Night cabinets also depict this zombie twirling a hat, another reference to Krueger
