Opera House seemed to have been a "guns for hire" developer, and worked on various consoles over the decades. Note, even though the company has a website live, it doesnt seem to be very active. So the company may not exist anymore.

Overview

Opera House Inc. (株式会社オペラハウス) is a development company established on July 28, 1989, by Satoru Miki (三木暁) and Hiroyuki Fujiwara (藤原博之) in Shinjuku, Tokyo, later moving to Nakameguro, Meguro, Tokyo. Miki and Fujiwara first began programming together in 1985 (eventually as Miki & Fujiwara Production). The company is headed by Fujiwara and Satoru Ichihara (市原暁).

History

  • 1985 - Akira Miki and Hiroyuki Fujiwara start making games as programmers.
  • 1986 - Released the MSX software "Come on! Pico" through Pony Canyon Co., Ltd.
  • 1989 - Opera House Co., Ltd. is established in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo.
  • 1990 - PC9801 software "AD&D; Hero of Lance" wins the Hit Award.
  • 1991 - The head office is moved to Nakameguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
  • 1993 - Super Famicom software "Classic Road" wins the Hit Award.
  • 1994 - Started development of PS software.
  • 1999 - Started development of PS2 software.
  • 2003 - Started developing mobile apps.
  • 2004 - Development of the Nintendo DS begins.
  • 2005 - Started developing Flash games.
  • 2007 - Development of the Wii begins.
  • 2008 - Development of the PSP begins.
  • 2010 - Started developing iOS games.
