3DO Overview
Westwind Media appeared on the original Developer list in 1993, but never released or produced a 3DO game.
Overview
They created multimedia software called "Thingmaker" that was used by Geocities. Unfortunately the company and software go dark late 1998. I found the Linkedin profile of the ex "VP of Sales and Business Development" who stated:
"(A venture backed and pioneer in online digital marketing, and digital rights management).
• Assisted CEO and Chairman in procuring $25M in financing, through CMGI, Intel, NFL Quarterback Club, The Kraft Group, and Microsoft. • Responsible for all business development, sales and strategic alliance activities for the company. Also led the company’s staffing effort of 100 people"
He has his role as 1997-2002, so I am presuming they were acquired rather than them going out of business,
