WOLFENSTEIN 3D BLASTS ITS WAY TO 3DO
Irvine, CA -- Interplay Productions announced today the release of Wolfenstein 3D available for the first time on 3DO. Wolfenstein 3D puts you in a fast, first-person virtual world where you have been captured and taken prisoner in the Nazi prison of Castle Wolfenstein. This state-of-the-art game features 60 levels of non-stop action that will have gamers on the edge of their seats.

Wolfenstein 3D gives the realism of actually being there as you zip through Castle Wolfenstein with pistols, rifles, and machine guns as your only friends. Nazi guards are determined to stop anyone that tries to escape, but reflexes and wits can make you just as dangerous as the guards. Discover the powerful armored bosses and pick up their keys to open hidden vaults. Explore secret rooms to get more treasures, medikits, and power-ups. Take on the challenge and try to escape Castle Wolfenstein.

"Wolfenstein is a proven hit title and enjoys name recognition in the gaming public and is available for the first time on the 3DO platform," said Trish Wright, Interplay's vice president of marketing. "This is a mega-hit from the creators of Doom, and Interplay knows this will shoot its way through all 3DO gamers who like fast action."

Players will be able to select various levels of difficulty and pick up surprise weapons. An auto-map feature shows a map of the level you are on as you try to escape the feared Castle Wolfenstein. At the end of every level, you have the option of saving the game in progress. Every level has hidden treasures that make it worthwhile to find and hidden passages can be located almost anywhere.
