Irvine, California -- Interplay Productions announced today the release of the award- winning sequel Alone In The Dark 2TM, available for the first time on console. Alone In The Dark 2 comes packed with the original Alone In The DarkTM free inside, making this a terrific value. Alone In The Dark 2 for the 3DOÒ platform is faster and more terrifying than the original. This perplexing mystery-adventure game has over 50 hours of game play which takes strategy, quick thinking and sharp reflexes. Alone In The Dark 2 includes over 70 new characters and hundreds of detailed 3D objects that will keep gamers in suspense throughout the game.

Alone In The Dark 2 combines terrifying interaction with ghosts and the intrigue of solving a puzzling mystery in a realistic 3D environment. Intense 3D polygon graphics bring horror to a new dimension, totally immersing players in the game-playing experience. Alone In The Dark 2 is a chilling adventure with up to nine different camera angles in each room to enhance the cinematic feel.

In Alone In The Dark 2, players take the role of Detective Edward Carnby, who must find a young girl kidnapped by One-Eyed Jack, the ringleader of a gang of smugglers and gangsters. Discover clues and solve perplexing puzzles within a terrifying setting of a haunted mansion complete with mazes, trapdoors and secret passageways. Players interact with terrifying ghosts as they find their way to the missing child...or else players will face their demise
