3DO Overview
Intelliamedia Sports appeared on the original Developer list in 1993. They used the brand Intelliplay as a brand.
Overview
Its been tough to find information about the company, but I have found the following:
- Formed in 1991 - As per Press release at 3DO Developer Press Pack (Even though the Chairman on Linkedin states 1990)
- Merged with Cox Enterprises and American Software to form Intellmedia in 1996
- A NY Times article on 1st Dec 1997 states that the company was taken over by another agency called 360
They seemed to have done a deal in 1994 with ESPN (ESPN 1994 Overview article early 1995 states that ESPN Enterprises "Make CD-ROMs (produced in association with Intellimedia)"" This changed the name of the titles from Intelliplay to ESPN (Interlliplay still was used on a smaller capacity)
