Overview

Midisoft Corp. developed award-winning consumer, business and OEM products sold to retailers, educators, and worship music leaders worldwide. FMidisoft developed the technologies needed to turn the PC into a key component in making music for anyone interested in creating, sharing music. Midisoft was dedicated to providing the most innovative, rewarding, intelligent, and easy-to-use PC sound solutions for Windows operating systems.

The company used the ticket MIDI on the Nasdaq IPO in 1993, however, they were delisted in August 1997 due to financial problems (The CFO was fined in 1994 as well for overstating revenue).

In 2002 it changed its name fully to Recordlab.com (This process started about 2000)

Taken from its Founder's Raymond Bily Linkedin Profile:

"Pioneer in automated music-to-transcription and embedded multi-track recording software.

- First company to allow a musical instrument to digitally connect to a musical instrument to capture, save, edit, and replay a performance.

- Midisoft Studio and the Midiface card were the first hardware/software combination to allow a person to play a song from an electronic musical instrument and see the notes appear on a musical staff for editing, printing, and subsequent playback.

- Midisoft Studio then became the first "sequencer" (music recorder) that provided virtually unlimited tracks (32,767), combining recorded audio and MIDI performances.

- Raymond led Midisoft's IPO in 1993. It became the second fastest growing new stock on the entire stock market in 1993."

Raymond rebought the brand.
